The Sony Ericsson W595 Walkman is a series 3.5G slider phone with a 3.2 megapixel digital camera, stereo Bluetooth and an FM radio.
The W595 Walkman phone weighs 104g and has a battery that is good for 9 hours of GSM talk time, 4.5 hours of 3G talk time, or 25 hours of continuous music playback.
Other features include email support, the ability to sync with a Microsoft Exchange server, and a 3.2 megapixel camera with BestPic support and picture blogging software.
The W595 sports a 3.2 megapixel camera , 2.2″ QVGA display, Walkman 3 player, FM radio, Bluetooth, USB, 3.5mm audio jack and motion control.
Sony Ericsson say that the W595 will be available during Q4 2008 in Active Bleu, Blanc Cosmopolitan, Jungle Grey, black and Ruby Black Lava color combinations, depending on the region.
As you might guess from the 500 series model number, the W595 is a mid-range phone that makes the emergence of HSDPA phone high-speed data 3.5G a welcome addition.
The W595a is also a version for the Americas and a version W595c for China without UMTS / HSDPA.
This is a quad-band GSM phone UMTS 2100 and HSDPA high-speed data.
There will be 3 versions of the W595 that ship in Q4 of this year, all of them supporting quad-band GSM/EDGE, and one that adds UMTS 2100MHz to the mix.
An FM radio is also built-in, as are a pair of stereo speakers and the TrackID music identification app. Web duties are handled by the capable Access NetFront web browser, which also takes care of RSS news feeds for the W595.
Today Sony Ericsson unveiled the W595 Walkman slider, a new mid-tier music phone that comes equipped with a 2.2″, 262k color QVGA display and a share jack headset port that enables a friend to tap into the phone’s music with you.
Music features on the W595 include the Walkman music player with shake control and SenseMe playlist support for playing the music that fits your mood best.
In line with the new W902, W595 media player supports shake control, Sony Ericsson “SenseMe tempo and mood depending on reading and identification followed.
