Motorola RAZR VE20 Phone (Sprint)

“Review: Motorola RAZR VE20 Phone ”

The good: The Sprint Motorola Razr V3m offers a trendy design, decent call quality, and a notable list of features including Bluetooth, a speakerphone, and support for EV-DO networks.

Like all other Sprint phones, the VE20 runs Java applications, making it compatible with Opera Mini, Google Maps and Live Search.

The good: The Motorola Razr VE20 has a satisfying multimedia feature set, brilliant displays, and decent call quality.

After the Motorola RAZR, the RAZR V3, the RAZR maxx, and the RAZR2 V9m, Motorola isn’t ready to give up its most popular cell phone franchise yet.

Just when you thought the Motorola Razr was dead, Moto has brought it back for another round with the Razr VE20 for Sprint.

We take the curvy new flip for a spin in our Motorola RAZR VE20 review.

This cell phone has all the sleek lines of its stylish predecessor plus a few extras designed to take advantage of the latest multimedia features.

Sprint has just released the newest Motorola RAZR model, the RAZR VE20, a feature phone packed with a multimedia punch.

With a narrower form factor and upgrades to the keypad, display, camera and multimedia functions the VE20 is a noticeable step up from the V3m.

The KRZR’s hidden music controls are replaced by a touch sensitive strip on the large outer display and the internal screen is QVGA, both features lifted directly from the V9m.

Just like on the more recent Motorola RAZR2 V9m, which now has been discontinued by Sprint, the RAZR VE20 has touch sensitive buttons integrated into the external display.

You get the same 65,000-color external display with the camera lens just above.

The Razr V3 has a VGA camera and while it plays back video it can’t record any clips, whereas the Motorola Razr V3m boasts a 1.3-megapixel camera and the ability to record short videos.

The Razr VE20’s camera lens sits just above the display.

While the V3m’s external display was small with a low resolution, the VE20’s screen measures 1.6 inches and supports 65,000 colors.

Moto teamed up with Sprint just in time to introduce NFL Football streaming, real-time broadcasting and is offering the smart little cell phone for $99 with a two-year contract.

The feature set doesn’t offer anything new, either, but with a full slate of multimedia options, it should deliver everything you need.

The keys are aligned with a slight curve to the rows, similar in principle to a BlackBerry keypad.

Motorola continues to put a premium on design and materials and it shows; it is sleek and modern in appearance, though its bloodlines are unmistakable.

Sure, the design is old hat, but the VE20 is sparkly and slim with big, bright displays.
