We had the opportunity to check out a preproduction unit of the Tilt, and while we’ll reserve final judgment until we have the finished product in hand, we think it will be a hit.

The good: The AT&T Tilt features a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard and a tilting screen.

AT&T has gone Full Tilt with the introduction of the new Tilt 3G Smart Phone.

Rumored for release as early as August 2007 the Tilt, aka AT&T 8925 is finally here.

It also adds the power of the Windows Mobile 6 operating system , which provides push email for immediate send and receive as well as editing of Microsoft Office documents.

We get an angle on the AT&T Tilt, with its flip up screen and loads of features.

The Windows Mobile 6 smartphone also offers the full gamut of wireless options, including 3G and GPS, push e-mail, a 3-megapixel camera, and support for AT&TMusic and Video.

There’s been much commotion and some patient waiting on the road to AT&T’s latest Windows Mobile Professional phone that succeeds the popular AT&T 8525.

It’s packed with all the features a mobile professional could want in a smartphone: the full range of wireless options, including UMTS/HSDPA support and GPS, Windows Mobile 6 , and strong messaging capabilities.

Cellular Video features content from CNN, The Weather Channel, iFilm, Comedy Central and exclusive premium content from HBO and much more.

The Tilt, whose code name was the HTC Kaiser, was first released a few months back as the HTC TyTN II, and as the MDA Vario III for T-Mobile Germany.

The slim, pocket-sized AT&T Tilt smartphone is bursting at the seams with a full-menu of wireless capabilities to keep you connected wherever you roam on this globe-quad-band GSM for global roaming, Wi-Fi, EDGE, and 3G data connectivity via AT&T’s UMTS/HSDPA-based BroadbandConnect network.

Without a doubt, the Tilt is the best Windows Mobile 6 device we’ve seen so far, though that doesn’t make it the best smartphone.

Those of us in the United States were waiting to get our hands on HTC’s latest high-end creation with WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G HSDPA and an integrated GPS.
